Commitment to
Character

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

My name is Julia Custelcean and I am currently serving as Kappa Lambda's Chapter President at the AOII Chapter at the University of Calgary. I first joined KL in Winter of 2020 and first served as Vice President of Administration, then got elected as Chapter President. I have had the honour of serving this role since, and for the past year and a half Kappa Lambda has taught be so much about Leadership and Love for an organization made up of such amazing and inspiring women. The values I hold nearest and dearest to my heart as an AOII, and those which we uphold within our organization are, character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. This creates a safe enabling space where girls are free to be their truest selves. Our sisters support one another in their everyday lives, they are there for each other with a bond like that of a family. Together KL accomplishes the impossible. My sisters and I are inclusive and strive to include all women to the best of our abilities. Without anyone of our sisters we would not be a complete family, each member is valued and an important element to Kappa Lambda.
Are you or someone you know attending U of C interested in joining a sorority? I encourage you to reach out to me and my sisters on Instagram (@ucaoii), or to any of our executives found in the Leadership tab of this webpage! We are happy to answer any questions you may have! Lifelong bonds are waiting for you!!
Alpha Love and All of Mine,

Julia Custelcean
