Letter from the President

Dear Potential New Members, Friends, and Supporters,My name is Sofie Dierks, and I have the incredible honour of serving as the Chapter President of Alpha Omicron Pi - Kappa Lambda Chapter at the University of Calgary. Since joining in Fall 2022, I have had the privilege of serving as Director of New Member Experience, Vice President of Membership Experience, and now President, each role deepening my love and gratitude for this sisterhood. AOII has given me more than I could have ever imagined: leadership opportunities, lifelong friendships, and a community of women who inspire me every day to be my best self. Our values; sisterhood, character, dignity, scholarship, college loyalty, and philanthropy are the foundation of everything we do. They guide how we show up for one another and for our greater community. At Kappa Lambda, we are deeply committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where every member feels valued and supported. We believe in inspiring ambition, not just in ourselves, but in everyone we meet. Our sisterhood is a family, a constant source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional love that lasts well beyond our university years. If you or someone you know is attending the University of Calgary and is interested in Greek Life, I would be honoured to connect with you. Please feel free to reach out to me personally, to any member of our Executive Team (listed under the “Leaders” tab), or to any of our amazing sisters on Instagram (@ucaoii). We are always happy to share our experiences and answer any questions you may have about Alpha Omicron Pi or Greek Life, and what it means to be part of something truly special. We can’t wait to welcome you into our sisterhood, a place to find your forever home, your biggest supporters, and friendships that will last a lifetime.Alpha Love and Mine,Sofie Dierks
